Lots and lots of folks out sick this week. Thank you to all who stepped in to fill gaps throughout the day. And, thank you to our Concert Orchestra for sharing such lovely music with us!

HIGHLIGHTS

• Scripture of the Month: Isaiah 55:12 – For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands. – Isaiah 55:12 World English Bible (WEB)
• Student & Staff Photos: Please prepare accordingly: Boys- February 3, Girls- February 10, Staff – February 17, Makeup Days TBD
• Homeschool Spirit Day: January (Throwback Day) – Trends come and go. And, with so many wonderful, and not so wonderful, fashion trends making comebacks it’s likely you already have something “retro” in your closet. Hollywood 30s, swingin’ 50s, bell-bottom 70s, neon 80s—any time-period is game. Always keep in mind The Wonder Way and refrain from inappropriate attire, such as anything that may resemble cross-dressing. Let’s have fun!
• Homeschool Music Fest Days (CANCELLED): Sadly, both the Solo and Ensemble Day and the Concert Day of the Homeschool Music Fest Days have been cancelled. As some of you may know, the event organizer, Mrs. Marsha Brower, unexpectedly lost her husband in September, and she does not have the bandwidth to host this year’s event. Last year she worked tirelessly to find a new location after receiving inadequate notice that the building was no longer available for this event. Though she did find a new location, the timing didn’t allow for securing enough adjudicators for either day. We’re thankful for Miss Marsha and for all she does for the homeschool community (including continuing to instruct our flags and woodwinds while bringing joy wherever she goes). We hope this time will allow her the space to adjust to the new changes in her life and pray she continues to be comforted with unexplainable peace. Miss Marsha did express her plans to host the event again, so we all have much to look forward to next year. Thank you for your understanding and prayers. 
• National Anthem: If you are interested in auditioning to sing the National Anthem at Homeschool Day at the Capitol, please let us know by Friday if you’d like more details. Auditions will be conducted by the HDAC event hosts.

Wonder Games Updates and Sharing: Please use the online fundraiser form on the Wonder Games page to submit your email list of family, friends, church-community members, and co-workers, along with a spot to write an optional, short personal message. For those who are opting out, please complete the form and select the donation option. And, please share, share, share!
