  • Character Trait: Mercy (Kindness)
  • Definition: Mercy is the act of kindness or good will towards another joined with a desire to help them.
  • Bible Word: Hebrew word: חֶסֶד chesed (Strong’s Number H2617) refers to the acts of kindness taken to help another. Greek word: ἔλεος eleos (Strong’s Number G1656) is kindness or good will towards the miserable and the afflicted joined with a desire to help them.

  • Definition: Patience means to politely restrain an impulse to do something, particularly for an extended length of time.
  • Bible Word: Hebrew word אֶ֤רֶךְ erekh (Strong’s Number H750) means “to be long” / Greek word μακροθυμία makrothymía (Strong’s Number G3115) means “to forbear”
  • Concrete Representation: Length, as in the measurement or extent of something from end to end.

  • Definition: Peace means to be in a state of wholeness or well-being.
  • Bible Word: Hebrew word שָׁלוֹם shalom (Strong’s Number H7965) means “to be complete or whole” from the word שַׁלֵּם shalem meaning “to restore or make right through payment or restitution” / Greek word εἰρήνη eirēnē (Strong’s Number G1515) means “a state of oneness or tranquility” and is from εἴρω eirō which means “to join or tie together into a whole”.

  • Definition: Attentiveness is showing a person’s worth by giving full attention to their words.
  • Bible Word: Hebrew word: קָשַׁב qashav (Strong’s Number H7181) means to prick one’s ears to intently listen and heed what has been said. Greek word: ἀκούω akouō (Strong’s Number G191) means to attend to or consider what is or has been said.
