TO: ALL WONDER MEMBERS
MEMO: WGN WEEKLY MEMO: 2026/04/14
DATE: Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Group photos are NOT done and there are 2 more classes until the Year of Wonder: Spring Concert and Art Display and 3 more wonder weeks until Family Day! We’ll reschedule class photos and makeups for next week and hope for better weather.
Thank you to our Piano and Recorder students for sharing music with us during Assembly! We were blown away by your growth!
Thank you to all who attended Homeschool Day at the Capitol. We were told of the blessing you all were through your music.
Please read this memo in its entirety, as it contains important information about the season, and remember to check the Action Items at the bottom of each memo!
HIGHLIGHTS
- Scripture of the Month: Psalms 136:1 – Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. – Psalms 136:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
- Summer Rockies Game Opportunity Reminder (Deadline Extended April 17): If you are a Wonder band and orchestral student interested in joining Miss Nicole Rafferty’s music studio to perform the National Anthem at the Colorado Rockies Game on July 21st at 6:40pm at Coors Field, please reach out to Miss Nicole Rafferty (nicolerafferty@a-musician-is.com) by Friday so she can compile a roster for the performance.
- Community Concert Updates: We’d like to host a community concert in the spring (likely a Wednesday or Thursday after the last day of Wonder in May) to bless a community of retirees, veterans, and other communities in our neighborhoods. If anyone is connected with a community you’d like us to visit, please let us know so we can get started on the planning. Before determining a date we need input from you with your availability (vocal choirs, band, orchestra).
- Dress Rehearsal Attire Requirements: Please make sure your child is dressed in Concert Black (Music Makers in Wonder Black with black bottoms and their Wonder tee) upon arrival. This means all black with no white in shoes, socks, or embroidery on attire. For girls who are wearing a dress or skirt, be sure it is at knee-length or longer. We will be taking photos for the yearbook, and students who are not properly dressed will not be included in the photos for the yearbook.
IMPORTANT REMINDER!
CLASS NOTES: Please be sure your child is following the listed notes for each week and practicing or completing assignments accordingly.
ENSEMBLES: Parents, if your child is in a performance ensemble, please be sure your child is practicing diligently and is on-time and present over the next 3 weeks of classes. We will be completing projects and conducting multiple class rehearsals (this should not affect your check-in and check-out times). It is very challenging to properly prepare as a team if players are not in attendance. We cannot control absence for illness, but for other reasons we need everyone in class. Thank you for your understanding and effort! Over the final several weeks, different classes will come together to rehearse together throughout the day.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Please make sure your child uploads their photography images, with properly listed names (according to what is detailed in the class notes), before next week’s class. If they have not completed their collaborative project, they should plan to complete it during the next class.
ARRIVE ON-TIME: Please make sure your child arrives on-time each week. Students should arrive in enough time to unpack their items, get out their supplies, and tune their instruments (if applicable) BEFORE class start-time. If they are walking in at class start-time they are late. Since we only meet once a week, it’s imperative we accomplish our daily goals within the designated time-frame. Thank you!
