Volunteer Background Check
Why background checks?
Protecting children under Wonder supervision is one of our most critical responsibilities. The many benefits of a family joining Wonder can only function from a safe and secure foundation. As a result, a high level of scrutiny is required to work or volunteer within Wonder. Wonder runs background checks to verify a candidate’s credentials, training, education and work experience, and researching their history for high-risk behavior or criminal activity.
Why do I have to pay for my background check?
As a privately-funded nonprofit organization, our budget does not currently allow us to pay for the possible hundreds of volunteer background checks needed to operate a program that services hundreds of students per year.
