The Helping Hands schedule is updated! Thank you for your patience! Please take a look at the schedule and make sure you know your placement time. We do our best to coordinate the schedule while also matching volunteers to a class that fits their background and experience. This approach, although it requires more time, has been the best and most beneficial for Wonder students and the overall program. We do also consider everyone’s availability and preference, time of enrollment, whether a family has babies/toddlers, class sizes, and Wonder’s priority needs. We cannot guarantee a parent will be placed in their child’s class, and we ask that you not request a change for this reason. Though, if you have concerns about your placement please let us known. Please note, we are be unavailable on Monday, September 25th, but will do our best to reply to messages before then. Otherwise, we will be available to answer questions on Tuesday (once students are settled and in class). Please take a look at the schedule and review points below.

Please read this memo in its entirety, as it contains important information about the season.

  • Unfilled Needs: We have several unfilled needs on the schedule indicated by empty gray fields below their respective placements. If you already have a placement and would like to signup for an additional one, please let us know. Many hands make light work!
  • Not listed?: If you do not see your name on the schedule, we will plan to discuss your placement on Tuesday after Block 1 begins.
  • 2 Blocks Required?: If you are required to complete 2 blocks but only see one listed, we will plan to discuss your other placement on Tuesday after Block 1 begins.
  • Question Mark: if you see a question mark by your name we have a few questions for you before confirming this placement.
  • Other Placement Options: Right now, our priority placement needs are listed on the schedule. We do have other options that are very low on our priority list and will not assign them at this time. If you still need a placement, please plan to sign up for one of the immediate needs. Thank you for your understanding.
