    • Posture
    • Reading Music (REMEMBER: FACE = SPACE, and Every Good Boy Does Fine [E, G, B, D, F]. Always spell up the music staff.)  To practice this, look through your method book and find some songs to read.
    • Fingering from low C up to high E. Make sure you cover up the entire hole and blow softly.
    • Page 2: Extending Your Range, It’s Me O Lord, Jolly Good Fellow
      • Clap through the rhythm and say the notes before you play it on your recorder

  • Stretch! Stretching will help you to become more flexible and get your muscles ready to dance!

  • Tendu combination: 1st position, 4 tendu front, 4 tendu side, 4 tendu back, 4 tendu side. Repeat. Balance in 1st position Releve.

  • Continue practicing stitching and stitches learned on blank fabric you cut out in class.

  • Continue taking pictures in manual settings. It is extremely important not to use any of the preset modes because this takes away from learning and correcting mistakes.
  • Write down the photos that would like to document in your photo journal, what manual setting you took them on and why they are your favorite.

  • Snacks: Starting next week, we will provide snacks for the class to avoid any future allergy issues. We ask that each family contribute a set monetary amount to essentially cover a week of snacks for the class. We will determine the cost this week (based on bulk items and class size) and will update everyone in next week’s memo. Thank you for your cooperation.
